It's a short 3 minute walk to Merimbula's Main Beach. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards during school holidays and is a great place for a swim or surf or to take a walk. Stop off at popular Cranky Cafe for breakfast, lunch or coffee - they're just 200m away from us.
Keep an eye out for whales during the season (August to November) and pods of dolphins who are frequent visitors.
A brief 150m stroll away is Merimbula Lake, known for its world class oyster farms, Take a stroll around the foreshore and see Merimbula's famous pelican sculptures or stop off for a coffee and a swim at Mitchie's Jetty, one of Merimbula's icons.
Walk around the lake and over the bridge into Merimbula's town centre where you'll find boutique shopping, lots of cafe's and eateries and the Merimbula Visitor Information Centre. There's also a new shopping complex with a large supermarket at the top of town.
The local clubs, Club Sapphire and Merimbula RSL also offer a courtesy bus service if you'll like to enjoy dinner and a few drinks during your stay.
